We are pleased to announce the winner of the ACW IE Communicating Africa Challenge.

Adedoyin Jaiyesimi from Nigeria was selected by a jury of communications professionals. She had this to say: “Getting admitted to the Master in Corporate and Marketing Communications program at IE was a blessing after the thorough application and interview process. Little did I know that a bigger blessing was ahead! Winning the ACW challenge left me speechless. The scholarship has provided an avenue for me to increase my knowledge in this prestigious institution by providing a much needed financial cushion and I’m looking forward to the experience of being at IE! I’d like to specially thank the team at IE and ACW for this opportunity.”

The competition, which was hosted for the first time by Africa Communications Week and IE University, celebrates communication campaigns that are poised to help shift the Africa narrative.

A big thank you to all the applicants who took the time to submit their best work.
All the entries impressed us with their creativity, boldness, relevance and potential for real impact. It’s been a challenge for the jury to make the distinction between outstanding and exceptional work.

It was equally exciting to witness the diversity in the approaches that communication professionals take to confronting the challenges facing Africa.

This year’s winning work reflects the potential for great strategies, stories and campaigns to gradually change the existing Africa narrative and bring us closer to #TheAfricaWeWant.

The winner will receive a 50% scholarship at IE University. Two additional scholarships will be awarded in the coming months.
