Neema Mutemi MCIPR (Kenya)
Neema is a cofounder of Perspectif Ltd., a British based PR firm, where she is the MD for Africa. She is a seasoned communications and public relations executive with more 16 years of experience working for the United Nations (FAO), as an adviser to Cabinet Secretaries and the Government of Kenya, and as a practitioner in non-governmental and grant-making organizations across Africa. She has vast experience working with donors such as USAID, EU, and Private Philanthropy.

She has designed and implemented effective communication strategies and mobilized media campaigns nationally, regionally and globally. Neema has been managing Africa-wide media coverage for the now-famous lawsuit against Meta by former Facebook Content Moderator, Daniel Motaung.

In Kenya’s COVID-19 emergency response, Neema led the Communication Unit of the Food Security War Room, managing a cross- section of program teams to develop an information-sharing platform to produce daily reports to the cabinet on the state of markets and essential food commodities. She also spearheaded a major media campaign on Kenya’s agricultural reforms and works daily with various heads of missions, national leaders, and Managing Directors to identify reputational risks and craft narratives messages, and approaches to create and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and manage crises.

Neema has a broad global network and is recognised for her ability to identify opportunities, build synergies and connections and has been a member of CIPR since 2014.

Mabel Aladenusi–Adeteye MCIPR (Nigeria)
Mabel Adeteye is a classically trained corporate communications and public relations expert with over 13 years’ experience covering marketing communication, brand design and management, digital media marketing, Events planning and management, CSR and sustainability.

She has demonstrated broad knowledge, experience and professional judgment in the field having managed numerous high-profile communications initiatives both with local and international brands, from corporate restructurings to product introductions, market rollout, international crisis communications response, B2B & B2C communications, Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability campaigns, media relations and perception management.

Mabel is accredited in Public Relations with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) UK, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), and accredited in Digital Marketing, Integrated Communications and Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK. Certified in Strategy and Sustainability from IESE Business School – Barcelona. Mabel is an alumnus of the department of Business Administration of the prestigious Babcock University, Ahmadu Bello University and the Lagos Business School. She is a member of the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), UK and a certified Advanced Branding expert.

Samuel Osei MCIPR, APR (Ghana)
Samuel Osei is an experienced strategic communications leader based in Ghana, West Africa. Driven by his passion for storytelling, Samuel founded Thinkstories, a knowledge sharing, networking, and skills improvement platform for communicators across Africa.

As Manager of Communications and External Relations at Newmont Ghana, a subsidiary of the world’s leading gold mining business, he leads the development and execution of the communications and external relations strategies of the company’s Ahafo mine and its Ahafo North project.

He is an accredited member of both the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, UK and the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana.

Carolina Barros (Angola)
Carolina is Angolan and has worked for more than twenty years in the field of Communication and in Brand Management for more than ten years. She considers herself passionate about the art of communicating and making things happen.

She graduated in Management & Marketing from the Independent University of Angola and has a specialization in Brand Management, from the Escola Superior de Publicidade e Marketing, Brazil, and a Specialization in Institutional Communication from the Faculty of Sciences, Agostinho Neto University.
